Interfaith Outreach of Carmel awards grants to 501(c)(3) organizations that provide services to the housing insecure in Monterey County; i.e., Emergency Shelter, Permanent Housing, Re-Entry Housing, Temporary Housing, or Transitional Housing.

IOC Mission/Vision:

Interfaith Outreach of Carmel is an interfaith organization of sponsoring faith communities joined together to address interfaith spiritual and practical needs in Monterey County, emphasizing grants to agencies that provide housing resources. By being outreach leaders within our community we will aid in creating solutions, stimulating public awareness and raising funds to provide grants to fulfill our mission.

Grant Eligibility

  • Grants are open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.

  • Only one grant application per organization will be considered.

  • Only proposals that serve those experiencing homelessness in Monterey County will be accepted; i.e., Emergency Shelter, Permanent Supportive Housing, Re-Entry Housing, Temporary Housing, or Transitional Housing.

  • Must be received by September 30, 2024.

Grant Applications must include the following as attachments:

  • Completed Grant Application Form

  • Organization’s 501(c)(3) statement and most recent 990 and a current financial statement for the past 12 months, a current Balance Sheet and Total Annual budget for current FY;

  • A list of Board Members;

  • Outcomes you plan to achieve;

  • A clear plan describing how you will monitor and measure success of Project/Program goals and activities and;

  • A brochure or other printed information about your organization and, if applicable, a brochure or printed media information about your Project/Program.

If a grant is awarded to your organization, a site visit may be requested. All recipients are required to submit a final report, due in six (6) months after receiving the grant that articulates:

  • How the grant was used.

  • What collaborations with existing partnerships were utilized?

  • What new partnerships were developed?

  • Describe any additional benefits and/or learning outcomes gained by your Project/Program clients.

  • Describe any challenges to achieving your Project/Program goals.
